Dr. Ancheta-Carroll

    Dr. Janel S. Ancheta-Carroll, D.M.D. grew up on Oahu, Hawaii and attended St. Joseph School and Maryknoll High School. She went on to college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where she graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Biology and a minor in psychology. She graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry with Clinical Honors. Dr. Ancheta-Carroll then moved back to Hawaii to complete a general practice residency (GPR) at the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. It was during this hospital training program that she realized she loved treating pediatric patients. She completed two additional years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California, as well as the Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center.


    After practicing for a few years, Dr. Ancheta-Carroll achieved Diplomate status as a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2006. She maintains on staff at Queen’s Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Hawaii Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the GenX dental study club. She volunteered at the Aloha Medical Mission and served on the St. Joseph School Board. Dr. Ancheta-Carroll has humbly accepted recognition by Honolulu Magazine as one of the Best Dentists in Hawaii from 2012 to the present.


    Away from the office Dr. Ancheta-Carroll enjoys spending time with her husband, two girls and two doggies.
